He loved his wallet so much, he gifted another two
Around 9 years ago, in early 2016, Travis ordered his handmade, personalized Sparrowhawk Currency and Coin wallet. He specified the wallet to be hand dyed in Medium Brown, and to have the 4 initials of his name hand embossed. I made the wallet, placed it in its Presentation Box with its hand dyed and embossed leather sample swatch, included Care Instructions, and sent it by courier to Travis.
Two years went by, In November 2018, Travis placed his second order, for the same style of handmade personalised Currency and Coin wallet. Same hand dyed Medium Brown colour, different hand embossed initials. I was thrilled to receive a second order, and enquired about it when I confirmed Travis’ order. He replied, “Yes, I love my wallet so I thought I'd get one for my brother (inlaw)! Thanks for the fine work - looking forward to seeing the new one!”
A few weeks later, I finished making the wallet, and when sending, along with the Presentation Box, Care Instructions and leather sample swatch, I included my hand written card explaining that Travis had specified the hand dyed colour and hand embossing, and I had hand stitched it. I emailed Travis with the Courier Tracking Number, and a few days later, he replied “I have received the wallet now, thanks so much, it looks great, I'm sure he will love it!”
Another 6 years went by, and Travis placed another order. A very special order. A wallet for his Father’s 76th Birthday. Travis said his Father’s wallet needed replacing and the wallets I made were really good quality. He told me about the wallet he had given himself, and the one he gave to his brother in law, and that the wallets were “both travelling well!”. He ordered his 3rd Currency and Coin Billfold, hand dyed in Medium Brown, but this time to be hand embossed with the letters “DAD”, yes Dad.
I finished making the wallet, and sent it with the same presentation packaging. A few days after it was delivered, Travis wrote his wonderful review:
“Beautifully handcrafted leather wallets
I bought this one for dad, I've also bought one for my brother in-law and mine is about 10 years old and going strong.”
